Armin

Your school's Canvas, calmer and more useful.

Armin is a free Chrome extension for students. It keeps Canvas's own pages and adds what's missing: one list of everything due, your timetable, grade weights with a calculator, and themes with dark mode.

It works on any school's Canvas site. You choose your school once and Armin does the rest.

Due next
  1. ECO 101Problem set 4Today, 11:59 pm
  2. MAT 133WebWork: Section 3.2Tomorrow
  3. RSM 100Case write-up (Gradescope)Thu
  4. PSY 100Chapter 6 quiz (WileyPLUS)Fri
Canvas, Gradescope and WileyPLUS work in one list. Sample courses.

What Armin adds to Canvas

One to-do list
Every course's assignments, quizzes and tests by due date, with Gradescope and WileyPLUS homework in the same list. Tick things off as you go.
Your week
Today's classes and what to do before each one, from your school's calendar file or your Canvas calendar.
Grades that add up
Each part's weight from the course outline, and what you need on the final to reach the grade you want.
A Canvas you like looking at
Themes, dark mode that follows your computer, and your own pictures on course cards.

Optional AI study tools (exam plans, flashcards, "Ask my course") come with a free monthly allowance when you sign in. Premium makes them unlimited (terms); everything above stays free.

Getting started

  1. Add Armin to Chrome. A Welcome page opens.
  2. Pick your school. If its Canvas is on an instructure.com address or on Armin's list, Armin starts on its own.
  3. On any other Canvas address, click the Armin button in Chrome's toolbar and choose Use Armin on your school's site. Chrome asks you to allow that one site.

What stays on your computer

What Armin reads from Canvas, Gradescope and WileyPLUS stays in your browser. It uses the sign-ins you already have, so it never sees a password. Nothing goes to Armin's service unless you sign in and use AI features, share a look or turn on phone sync. No ads, no analytics, nothing sold. The privacy policy has every detail.
